| Wally Cardona. Raised in California and New Mexico. Ages 7 through 9, a competitive gymnast and from ages 11 through 15, a clarinetist. 1986: a move to New York City to attend The Juilliard School (BFA in Dance '89). 1987-95: dancing with the Ralph Lemon Company. 1992: first work – Solo Alone/Add One - presented at Festival International de Danse – Cannes and Judson Church (Movement Research). |

1995: Made In Voyage, commissioned by Danspace Project in New York City and subsequently performed in seven countries and selected for the 1996 Plateaux - Biennale Nationale de Danse du Val-de-Marne. 1996-97: French choreographer Hervé Robbe invitation to create a double purpose/a double emploi, choreographed by Cardona for a cast of four American dancers and Robbe's company, Le Marietta Secret, premieres in France at Le Quartz Theatre and in New York City at Danspace Project. 1997: Wally Cardona Quartet (WC4) founded. Choreography/Commissioning partner: 1998 - Four Ramonas (The Joyce Theater), 1999 - Open House 01: Prime (DTW), 2001 - Trance Territory (The Joyce Theater, Portland Institute for Contemporary Art, Danspace Project), 2002 - Morph: Live Remix (Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, Danspace Project), 2002 - October Trinary (marley, light and grass) (Symphony Space), 2004 – Him, There, Them (92 on 42: 92nd St Y Harkness Dance Project at The Duke on 42nd Street), 2005 – March April (Brooklyn Academy of Music, Portland Institute for Contemporary Art).
